GSP NYLON (Camelbrown color)
What is GSP Nylon? GSP stands for “Ghillie Suit Protective” nylon. It is to be used as the skid surface to your military style ghillie suit. What make it so special is the fact it sticks to Shoe-Goo and E-6000 just as good as duck canvas. Now you can have the benefit of nylon fabric over cotton duck fabric and yield the same functional and durable results in the field.
Is it better than duck canvas? Not necessarily. It’s just different. Nylon is lighter in weight than duck canvas and in many ways superior in abrasiveness. Our GSP is a 500 denier (Not 1000 denier as used in may gear bags and back packs). We’ve elected to offer you 500 denier because it is combat proven, it has been tested and passed severe punishment in the field and it’s lighter in weight than 1000 denier Cordura Nylon. So, you’ll need to decide if the weight substitute and features of 500 denier outweighs the use of duck canvas when building your ghilliesuit.
Clothing Application... Use as you would duck canvas when you Shoe-Goo it to your clothing. Be certain to seal the edges of the fabric with Shoe-Goo to prevent fraying of the fabric. ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME TO DRY!!!!
What Am I Getting for My Money? GSP measures 60-inches wide x 36-inches long, plenty enough to build one military style ghilliesuit using an XL set of fatigues.
Other Uses GSP has also been used to repair damage to combat gear bags, packs and other products nylon in nature. In this instance you will need to apply your patches to the outside portion of your nylon gear because GSP and Shoe-Goo will not stick properly to the backside of your nylon fabric.
